Lock your vehicle and keep valuables out of sight – From Henrico Police:
Since February 12, 2013, twenty seven (27) reports of larcenies from autos have been reported in Western Henrico County, specifically south of Patterson Avenue. Victims have reported various items stolen to include pocketbooks, wallets, credit cards, and other personal items. In a majority of the cases, the cars were unlocked. In the few where the vehicle was locked, windows were smashed.
At a Wal-Mart on Forrest Avenue on February 18, 2013, a suspect attempted to use stolen credit cards from a reported larceny from auto. The suspect is described as:
•A white male
•Possibly in his late 20′s or early 30′s
•Seen in these photos wearing a Miami Dolphins ball cap, an oversized jacket, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes
Henrico Police reminds everyone to lock your car at all times and do not leave items in your vehicle that can be seen outside of the vehicle. Locking car doors is the number one deterrent to fight larceny from autos.
Henrico County Police is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspect responsible for these crimes.
