Transformation to Toast complete

The former City Limit space in The Village shopping center has now become New American gastropub Toast.
Its new owners are couple Josh and Jessica Bufford, who claim seven years of experience working at Giavos family restaurants (Richmond.com)
The restaurant carries four wines on tap, only the second restaurant in Virginia to do so.
From Toast’s Facebook page:
The term “gastropub” isn’t officially a word, according to Merriam & Webster, but we believes it means a neighborhood pub that takes it’s food and booze VERY seriously. We do just that. We hope you’ll join us for dinner and for one of our 17 beers on tap, 4 wines on tap, and 8 specialty handcrafted cocktails, or just a good ole bottle of your favorite domestic at happy hour.
Toast is a gastropub focusing on new American cuisine and southern favorites, but with a twist.
We are excited to be a part of such a great neighborhood and look forward to serving you!

I’ve always liked the idea of a “toast” restaurant. The possibilities are endless, white, wheat, whole wheat, garlic, Texas, French. I like mine with butter and jam.
I wonder if they’s have the Jake Elwood special, 4 fried chickens and a coke and some dry white toast..
