Richmond Biz Sense has the story that Willow Place used book store The Book Room will close this Sunday.
Owner Piet Jones cites decline in sales due to e-books and an upcoming forced relocation as factors in his decision.

I’ll tell you why the Book Room did poorly and it ain’t e-books or a forced relocation that tanked it.
It is the only used book store at which I ever tried to trade that charged me a transaction/trade fee to get other books in trade and then charged me tax on the trade to boot! They were ripping people off!
Their general prices were higher than other stores.
And when I would go in the store, I would have sometimes have to wait around as long as 15 minutes to get a sales person to come up to the counter. Because of this, I only went to this store if I was waiting for take-away from the Chinese place next door.
