Free concert and book signing August 4th at Barnes & Noble

Native Richmond author, songwriter and musician, Thornton Cline will host a free workshop, concert and booksigning of his newly released book, “Practice Personalities” at the Barnes and Noble Booksellers located in the Libbie Place Shopping Center, 5501 West Broad Street. The book signing event and workshop will be held on Saturday, August 4 from 2 p. m. to 4 p. m. “Practice Personalities” is published by the world’s largest music print publisher, Hal Leonard Publishing.

The award winning songwriter and author will present a workshop to area music teachers, musicians and area music enthusiasts on effective and efficient ways to practice any musical instrument based on their personality. Richmond area music teachers and music studios will be featuring violin, flute, piano and guitar students, ages 5 through 17 performing musical selections.

Cline was awarded, “Songwriter of the Year” for his platinum and gold hit, “Love is the Reason” recorded by King of Romance artist, Engelbert Humperdinck and Pop Queen Diva, Gloria Gaynor known for her mega-hit “I Will Survive”. Cline is director of the internationally acclaimed group, the Nashville Suzuki Players. He teaches music at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee and at Sumner Academy in Gallatin, Tennessee.
