Ben Franklin Converting to A.C. Moore

My first job in high school was working the checkout at Ben Franklin Crafts & Frames, so I’m a little nostalgic about the name. Not about the job, which was lousy.

Ben Franklin’s parent company Strang Hatcher Corp. acquired New-Jersey-based A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts last November, and is rebranding all the Richmond stores to A.C. Moore.

The employees and managers will remain the same; the stores be converted to A.C. Moore’s systems, allowing shoppers to use the chain’s rewards and coupon programs.

The Ben Franklin location in The Shops at Willow Lawn was the first of the seven area stores to receive new signage.
