Gold’s Gym to Add Pool to Willow Lawn
Gold’s Gym at Willow Lawn is building a 15,000 square foot expansion including a pool, basketball court and racquetball court. Another pool in the Near West End is cool. One in a shopping center is a bit strange though.
Don’t worry.
Nobody shops at Willow Lawn.
i thought that had been news for awhile. any idea when the expansion will be ready for use?
Remember the Gold’s gym on Westwood Ave?
i love willow lawn and the fact my gym is there… go to the gym, pick up groceries/lunch… the few stores are decent. i can get in and out without having to deal with much traffic!

I have shopped at Willow Lawn for over 40 years!. It is a great shopping center. A great central location, in a nice community. Where will Short Pump Town Center be in 40 or 50 years from now?
Also, Have you seen the parking lot of Golds Gym in the mornings. It is packed, so somebody really does go to Willow Lawn Shopping Center.
P. S. There is also the Bureau of Vital Stats and the a Nursing School at Willow Lawn. So for you, Peddle you need to come on out and see what’s going on.
FWIW, it’s not so bad when the gym opens first thing in the morning, i.e. 5am. By the time I’m done around 6:30 or 7am, the lot’s just starting to get full.
When is the gym being built. I have heard about this for a year and a half and i have still seen nothing

Pool is open now!!!!
It’s great, 6 lanes and not too busy on the day I tried it. Strangely it is a mixture of salt water and chlorine, not as strong as sea water, but salty. It is much easier on the eyes and doesn’t leave you smelling like a bottle of Chlorox.
I’ve been swimming there a half dozen or so times now. Despite repeated requests (by me and others, apparently), they still don’t have towel holders (or shelves) or a clock. The pool itself is nice!
Could someone confirm the length of the pool at Gold’s willow lawn? Thank you. I think it’s 25 yards…but not certain.
