Inaugural Chinese New Year Celebration Comes to Godwin HS
2 Comments »
One day left Until Richmond’s first Chinese New Year Festival at Godwin High School. Usually, we don’t cover events that far in the West End, but this case, I know it will be a great event — especially for families and people who want to learn more about the Chinese New Year and Celebrate it. The event is free and is organized by my friend and neighbor John Kang.
Wear Asian clothes if you have them. The event is 11am-4 pm
Parade starts at 11:30, they will have four Lions leading the parade, and a dragon as the caboose.
Performances start at noon.
Tell your friends, and hope to see you there!
If you are on Facebook, check out the invitation.

Wow, I just found this link, over a half a year after the fact… thanks for posting!
Sure thing! Make sure you keep us posted on your next event and we’ll give it some more play. My kids had a blast this year, they still have the fans with their names on their bulletin boards. and still talk about your dragon!
