Pasta Luna Closes After 15 Years
Pasta Luna closed its West End location last week.
The Italian restaurant at 8902 W. Broad St. in western Henrico County closed last week after nearly 15 years in that location.
Executive chef Peter T. Caserta blamed economic reasons for the restaurant’s demise.
“We had a long run, a good run,” he said. “But location has changed everything; everything has shifted to more out west.”
During its tenure, Pasta Luna was the recipient of numerous readers’ choice awards for favorite Italian restaurant.

I like how Peter blames the economy. Why not blame the mediocre overpriced food?! I never understood how Pasta Lunch stuck around as long as they did…
My family has always loved Pasta Luna. Hate to see it close.
Too bad. We’ll miss the Rigatoni Tuta Cose!
I used to work there back in 2006, I think it’s amazing this place has been around anywhere near as long as it has. over priced… Peter “knows” how the food is supposed to taste, one of my tables once told me their stuffed shells were too salty, Peter went and told them that’s how it is supposed to taste… i tasted it in the back. The food had so much salt that the crystals didn’t even dissolve.
