Richmond has its own Wiki — RichmondWiki.org
2 Comments »Recently, I came across RichmondWiki.org , a website dedicated entirely to Richmond. It even has a listing on the West End! So far it’s in its infancy, but its been getting lots of hits, and with your help, it could be a great resource for Richmonders and those curious about the Richmond area.
Richmond Wiki was started in the fall of 2008 by Richmonder Andrew Miller, mainly as a community service. He hopes it will be seen as a new reliable source of information about Richmond. All the advertising revenue is poured back into the website, and eventually, Miller says he’d like to turn it into a non-profit organization.
Here is just one more way how Richmond is cutting-edge in the 2.0 world. Not only do we have a wealth of dedicated neighborhood news blogs, but also, now we have our own Wiki.
Recently, Miller has added a feature so that folks can add their own restaurants and businesses to RichmondWiki.org. So, if you know something about Richmond or if you want to, here is another great resource. For a more eclectic mix of information about Richmond you can also visit RichmondInsideOut.com

Thanks for the kind words, Jonah! I’d like to add that there is a lot of “Help” content on the site for anybody that would like to contribute content but may not be familiar with how to edit a wiki.
Of course, they can always reach out to me and I can walk them through the process. It’s all about building a community, so the site becomes more valuable as more people add or edit content.
Hey, my name is Andrew Miller. I did a double-take when I read the description and my name was in it….
