Silver Diner Innsbrook Will Open Soon

Bookmark and Share

I don’t have an exact date for you, but Richmond’s very own Silver Diner should be opening soon in the Innsbrook area.  We are covering it here because if you live in the Near West End, sooner or later, you’ll want to check it out.  Originally we had posted a Summer 2008 opening date, now it looks like it will open in November.  They’ve held several job fairs in September, so my best guess is any day now.

I’ll keep you posted when I learn of a more specific opening date. If you are looking for a job, apparently they are still hiring.  Or, if you are more curious about their menu, you can check that out too!

Silver Diner is very popular in Northern Virginia and is know for the consistancy, family atmostphere, and friendly service.

I drove by earlier this week and it was packed!? A soft opening perhaps.
If you go, feel free to submit a review and we’d be happy to post it.

Is it open yet? I’m still not sure. My boyfriend and I want to go there for dinner tonight.

Ok, to clarify, they are opening on the 13th! Everyone who was in there the other night was staff, and they were training. The opening date is the 13th.

I grew up in Northern Virginia and have to say its just like any other restaurant. go often enough and you’re bound to have a bad experience. its been a few years now but i seem to remember the one in Arlington on Lee Hwy. having moderate portions for slightly elevated prices. There’s one in Merrifield too if memory serves. About time one came to Richmond. Looking forward to trying them again. :)

I can’t wait! The menu sounds pretty good. I’m looking forward to trying it!

This place sucks.. has to be the worst Diner Food I’ve ever had.

Pity because the place is cool, and staff are very friendly! All I’ve heard was “iffy” and bad comments about the food. I agree… was there yesterday, and I’d give food about 3.5 out of 10.. That’s generous!

This is the worst “Diner” that I have ever visited. They ran out of clean glasses, took 10 minutes to get watered down Cokes. Then 30 minutes later 2 of the 4 meals arrived with no fries. When I inquired, the waiter said they were out of fries. (No offer of a substitute, apology or anything). I asked him if he expected me to pay full price for half a meal. He said he would take of 10% off. That was $4 for over priced and over cooked Ruben sandwiches. It seems that management is a sleep at the wheel. I will never go back. Hope you don’t either.
