Woman Found Dead in Near West End’s Westwood Neighborhood
CBS 6, WTVR, is reporting a death in Westwood, just behind the West End Library off of Patterson Avenue. The woman lived in the 900 block of Dunbar St.
We reported back in July that a woman was shot in that same block. Based on the information from CBS 6, it appears it is the same woman who was found dead.
Richmond Police say they’re waiting on the medical examiner’s office to determine how a woman died Thursday morning in the near West End.
Police were called to a home in the 900 block of Dunbar Street before sunrise, which is just off Patterson Avenue and Willow Lawn Drive. Officers found a woman dead inside, but say there were no obvious signs of trauma.
What makes this story even stranger is that the woman was shot and seriously wounded at that same home back in July. But police say no charges were ever filed because the woman would not cooperate with investigators
