The Great Richmond Region Adventure and Other Fun

Like adventure? The thrill of the hunt? Can you crack codes and solve puzzles quickly? Do you think you know Richmond? We covered it a few weeks ago, and becuase this is such a great event we are covering it again.

This one-day adventure race is the ultimate test of physical speed, mental agility and Richmond Region knowledge. Teams of up to six will decipher complex codes in order to unearth clues to reveal each new destination along their path. The race is designed to expose participants to the Region’s museums and attractions as a part of National Tourism Week. The winning team will receive a $2,500 prize, and a $2,500 donation will be made to the attraction of its choice

This is serious gaming. The adventure race has its own fanclub, blog for tips on gaming, and its own forum.

In addition, there is a Fan area Ravenchase Irish Pub Mystery to be solved on the Ides of March (March 15th). Ticket price includes treasure maps and clues plus a beverage for each player from 5 Fan establishments. Sounds like fun to me!
