On the heels of the team’s sixth-consecutive Atlantic 10 Championship, third-year swimming coach Matt Barany sat down with RichmondSpiders.com to discuss his thoughts on the upcoming season. The Spiders, who were a preseason pick to defend their title, open the 2007-08 at Duke Saturday.

Field Hockey Heads To New England To Face Rhode Island And UMass
The field hockey team heads to New England to face Rhode Island on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and Massachusetts on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Spiders are 3-1 in the Atlantic 10, coming off a 1-0 overtime victory over La Salle on Sunday. Richmond has won 45 of its last 46 games against Atlantic 10 competition as the Spiders go for their sixth-straight Atlantic 10 regular-season and tournament titles.

Women’s Soccer On The Road This Weekend
The women’s soccer team will spend the weekend away from home - but not too far. The Spiders visit Atlantic 10 rival George Washington Saturday, then travel to Longwood for a non-conference match Sunday.
