We have a lot happening at Munford! Please take time to look over the following announcements:

PLAYGROUND CLEAN UP DAY & EXTERIOR BEAUTIFICATION
Join us Saturday, October 6th from 8:00-noon for PLAYGROUND CLEAN UP DAY. If you’ve got an hour (or more) this Saturday morning, you can really help improve the school’s appearance for the remainder of the year. Please contact Robert and Katie Baughan at flyingsquirrel1@verizon.net if you have any questions.

There is still time to adopt flower beds around the school. We would love to have as much help as possible! If interested, please contact Adrienne Martin at adrienne@brandsync.com or 516-6634 asap.

We hope to see as many parents and children as possible on Wednesday mornings this year, joining together for litter patrol, weeding and watering around the school. We’ll start our Weed & Litter Brigade on Wednesday, October 10th at 8:30 and will meet on the front steps of the school.

FAMILY READING NIGHT
Family Reading Night will be held next Wednesday, October 10.

Mr Ashauer’s class will be hosting a family dinner beginning at 6:00 in the cafeteria. The menu consists of: Cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, mac and cheese or chips, sno-cones, iced tea, lemonade or water. The cost is $5/person, $15 maximum per family.

Family Reading Night activities will begin promptly at 7:00 in the auditorium. The author Jerry Pallotta will be speaking, followed by some traditional reading night activities. For more information on Jerry Pallotta, you can visit his website: http://www.jerrypallotta.com

RPS VOLUNTEER SIGN UP PROCESS
Mr. Muzik is asking that all parent volunteers go online and complete a volunteer application. This will enable you to be listed as a volunteer in the sign-in database in the school office. It is important that all parents who plan to spend time volunteering in the school to take a minute and complete the application.

Directions:

  • Go to website
  • Click on “2 Part Application” link
  • Click “On Line (preferred)” link
  • An application will come up in PDF format. Even though you are asked to complete this “Part I” and bring it to school, you do not. Mr Muzik has indicated he does not need this form from parents.
  • Follow directions to complete “Part II” of the application process by clicking on “Keep N Track”

Note: This is a secure site, but if you have concerns about entering your SS#, the system will allow you to put in the last four digits.

EARLY DISMISSAL FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5. CARPOOLERS AND WALKERS WILL BE DISMISSED AT 12:25; BUS RIDERS AT 12:30.
