Please Let It Be So; Mayor & School Board “Friendly”
Came across an interesting article in today’s Times-Dispatch about Mayor Wilder and City Council President Pantele both remaining open to working together, starting with an informal talk on October 1st before the council’s organizational monthly meeting.
Public harmony has been rare between the mayor and council this year. They have met twice in informal roundtable discussions, including a lengthy appearance by Wilder at the council’s annual retreat.
The article alludes to the Mayor’s possible raising of this positive move due to the upcoming election date on January 1st, 2009. Could that be one of the main reasons?

Yes, and isn’t it interesting that they would plan to start having these public discussions AFTER they hand over $50 million plus to a private foundation (that has already wasted milions) while keeping that private foundation shielded from Freedom of Information laws.
Sure wouldn’t want to talk about something like that beforehand, and air it out in front of the public.
Responsibility and accountability in Richmond: A joke.
