Henrico Teen Found Guilty in Accident
Comment now »A 16-year-old Henrico teen was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the drunk driving accident that caused the death of a popular Applebee’s bartender, near Short Pump Town Center.
WRIC TV8 reports:
Sarah Haislip, 16, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, a charge reduced from the original charge of aggravated involuntary manslaughter. Haislip was also convicted of drunk driving and underage possession of alcohol.
Haislip was behind the wheel of the car that struck Applebee’s bartender Wes Taylor’s vehicle in front of Short Pump Town Center, killing him. Taylor’s family told 8News they were eager for this ordeal to be over.
