Children’s Museum Announces Fall Events
Cmor offers many special events this Fall. Here are some highlights of ones that don’t include an additional admission fee, unless otherwise noted. Regular admission is $7 per person, Annual Family Membership is $100, also the museum offers reciprocal admission to more than 100 children’s museums in the U.S.
Also, don’t forget: The Children’s Museum will close Sept. 4-7 for cleaning and maintenance.

COMCAST FAMILY TOON DAY!

Meet Cartoon Network characters like Scooby Doo & Shaggy, The Power Puff Girls, Mac & Bloo, Dexter & Dee Dee and more at the Comcast Family Toon Day at the Children’s Museum of Richmond. Both kids and parents will enjoy a variety of fun family-friendly activities including moon bounce, face painting plus music by Radio Disney. Food will be available for purchase.

Everybody’s favorite character ARTHUR stops by for a special story time at 2:00 p.m.!

HISPANIC HERITAGE DAY!
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Special performances by the Latin Ballet of Virginia, art projects and Spanish story times and other activities such as tortilla-making help celebrate Hispanic Heritage.

SNOW WHITE BALLET
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs perform a special musical adaptation of the popular fairytale.

MEET CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG!
Clifford the Big Red Dog is a familiar favorite with kids everywhere who are learning to read. Clifford will be at the Children’s Museum for meet-n-greet activities throughout the day. In addition, local PBS station, WCVE, will be on-hand with special reading activities and give-aways.

CELEBRATE THE SEASON WITH A SPOOKY PARTY!
A Halloween-inspired party starts with a costume parade led by Seymour the Dinosaur at 10:30 a.m. Children and adults will also be invited to visit CMoR’s decorated Halloween Village and enjoy spooktacular music, art projects, games, and story readings.

GENWORTH FOUNDATION PRESENTS HALLOWEEN HOOPLA!
4 – 8 p.m. (PLEASE NOTE: THE MUSEUM WILL CLOSE AT 2 P.M. TO PREPARE FOR HALLOWEEN HOOPLA!)
Thanks to support from Genworth Foundation, Halloween is safe, fun, and FREE for kids at the Children’s Museum of Richmond’s 7th annual Halloween Hoopla. Children can have an authentic Halloween experience trick-or-treating in our kid-size neighborhood consisting of six Fan-District-style houses complete with spooky decorations. Other activities will include Halloween art projects, ghost stories, and a costume parade. Adult admission tickets can be purchased at the Children’s Museum for $4 each.
