UofR International Studies Ranks Tops
The University of Richmond takes international studies and programs so seriously that Newsweek ranks the school at the top of the charts. UofR attracts students from all over the world with its diverse, rich and internationally-friendly programs and coursework. Faculty is also encouraged to participate in international studies to help enhance their own curricula as well as foster close relationships with students of other cultures.
From the Times-Dispatch article:
More than half of the 3,000-student university’s undergraduates study abroad. And the university has more than 200 international students on campus, representing more than 70 countries.
This comes on the heels of a $9 million gift announced yesterday from Carole Weinstein to construct an international center on campus.
The building will be named the Carole Weinstein International Center in honor of the donor’s generous support of the university’s international education programs, which spans two decades. The facility will serve as a central location for coordinating Richmond’s comprehensive approach to the internationalization of its educational programs and campus life.
