Utilities fixes still ongoing…

According to the Times Dispatch, quite a few Comcast and Verizon customers are still experiencing issues or losses of service throughout the area.

As of late yesterday afternoon, Comcast reported that less than 2,500 households were without service and Verizon reported about 3,000 subscribers without service.

In addition, PBURGN.net posted a very cool entry about Dominion Resource’s map of almost-up-to-the-minute real-time power outage areas. One of those sites that I could see myself checking out from time to time! Fortunately, according to the T-D, all but 684 of Richmond and the Tri-Cities had power restored as of 8pm last night (does the map confirm that?). For those still out, we hope you get your power restored soon!
