Teacher Arrested for Having Sex with Student
31-year-old private school teacher Daniel Hughes was recently arrested after accusations of a year-long sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.
Hughes is the athletic director for the Grove Avenue Christian school which is part of Grove Avenue Baptist Church and because of his job he faces more serious charges. Police say Hughes is charged with 10 counts of taking indecent liberties by a custodian. Each charge carries a five year sentence.
We contacted the school who issued us this statement:
“We understand that criminal charges have been filed against the athletic director, he is no longer employed by the school. At this time we are not able to make further comment due to the investigation . We are deeply grieved by this and ask all involved be remembered in prayer.”

She has said that he told her he loved her and she, knowing him since she was 3, believed him and gave into sexual relations. But part of the blame is on her, not all on Hughes. It is very tragic what happened and I, and the rest of the people at Grove, are deeply saddened and wished this has never happened.
hello, i find this story offencive and untrue.
iy name is daniel hughes, i am 18 years of age and i live in bracknell. all my friends have started to call me names and i dont like it. i dont appreciate being called “the speedofile” (i am spanish and they find that and amusing way to destrory my dignity)
so please, make an old man happy ;) and take this post down so i can either carry on being a closet paedo, or atleast make some new friends

Hello, Daniel Hughes who posted on July 12 of last year, I was a student at this small private school for five years and I find your post extremely offensive to those of us who went through this experience. Mr. Hughes was our athletic director and Bible teacher for many years and was sleeping with a student. This obviously has nothing to do with you. Your dumb comment makes you sounds like a selfish idiot, for you have no idea what all of us at Grove have been through because of this. Im sorry your friends are making fun of you, but that has nothing to do with the issue at hand. So you need to remove YOUR comment, as this OBVIOUSLY has nothing to do with you.
